A special Man.

Inside this beautiful landscaped home lives this special man…

It is my 95 year old Great Grandpa… Afton Marriott Thacker

Yesterday we took a drive up to Heber to visit him. I desperately wanted to get a picture with him and Ryker together!

I have really good memories of my Great Grandpa Afton. Mostly going to his house and celbrating his birthady with thousands of family members. Tons of cousins i’d only met when i came to his house.

His love for  singing and dancing. He has always had a  huge heart for music and now i know why my grandpa thacker was such a lover of music. Every time I came to see grandpa he would say “Hey there beautiful want to dance?” He has a great sense of humor and can make anyone laugh. He always says the funniest things. He loves loves being surrounded by “pretty girls”.

Grandpa had the best rhubarb plant and we’d always come and steal us some rhubarb. Man i love that stuff! 

He has the best stories about when he was in the Navy.( I wish i would have wrote them down!)

He has a huge heart and a great spirit. Unfortunately he is going slowly down hill and has Alzheimer's. 

Love this guy and i’m so glad i got the chance to go see him. I dont know  if  i’ll get another one.

This is the cute old man that lives in this house… I was sad to go especially with this ending picture… Love you graps so glad we got to come see you even though you wont remember , i will.  Love you grandpa!    

Hearty Gardy!

For fhe last monday my fam came over and we bbq’d and planted our garden (which we hope is plentiful)

We planted Corn, Sweet Corn, cucumbers, Strawberries, Peas, Honey Dew, Watermelon and of course Tomatoes!

Jakey Poo stayed inside to watch Ryker (and because he was  cold… little baby)

After a little while i had to come in and calm Ryker down… so we were stuck inside for a good little bit… just watching…

           

After our hard labors… we ate and played games and enjoyed one anothers company.

And by the end of the night… dad had taught Ryker a new trick… 

Thanks for all the help! We will for sure show our hard work off on the blog… for now… just waiting and weeding…

the other man in my bed

Yes. i know i’m already starting a bad habit… but its hard to resist when he’s so cuddly and goes to sleep in my arms rather than setting him down in his cradle. Whats a girl to do…

I know… i used to poke fun of those people who would take the same exact picture of their kid over and over and over… now…. i  can eat my own words. cause i do it too!

But… there memories right?

i’m a mother?

Happy mothers day to me? Crazy to think i can finally celebrate mothers day? haha weird. Well it was  a great 1st mothers day. Woke up to breakfast on the table and a present? Hmm…

I opened the present and a wahh.. lahh..

I was really surprised. AFter church we headed over to my families and had a little bbq. After we went for dessert with the cottles at Amberlies house. It was a great day!

1st Easter

You’d think i would remember the camera considering this is Rykers first Easter? Nope… Surely i forgot it. So we had to get a pic of the goodies we came home with.  Saturday we made it to the Cottles for the annual BB & Easter Egg hunt and Ryan scored a whopping $54 to start Ryker’s college fund (of course?).

Sunday we had the opportunity to watch Jake talk in his singles ward. After that we headed to GG’s house and hung out there. But NaNa spoiled me with a basket full of these goodies!

GG got me this  toy… I dunno how i feel about the singing… (he pulls funny faces)

….yeah my mom and dad were pretty lame this year and just got me clothes… Mom was so excited for my new swimsuit though. She can wait to take me to the pool!

P.S. I forgot to mention… I’m 2 Months today!!!
